Fraser Sherman

Freelance Writer
Durham, NC
Fraser Sherman was born in England, but spent most of his life in Northwest Florida. He’d be there still but he met his dream woman in 2008 and moved up to Durham, NC in 2010 to marry her. Eleven years this June, woot!
After he graduated college with no clear career path, he figured what the heck, why not try writing? It turned out he liked it. He’s been a reporter for three different papers, written columns for magazines (Newsweek, Boys’ Life, The Writer) and newspapers, and technical articles for Law Enforcement Technology and Painting and Wallcovering. He’s written five film reference books, most recently Sex for Dinner, Death for Breakfast: James Bond on Screen. His next, The Aliens Are Here, will be out later this year.
Fraser also writes fiction. His short stories have appeared in Space and Time, Drabblecast, Crimson Streets, Kzine, Realms of Fantasy and the Strange Economics, Eldritch Embraces and Monster Earth anthologies. Fraser has published two books of his previously published stories, Atoms for Peace and Atlas Shagged, which you can buy from him this weekend if he still has any copies available. Earlier this year he self-published Undead Sexist Cliches about the stupidity of misogynist arguments.
Away from cons, Fraser reads a lot. He also bicycles, takes care of two adorable dogs and sometimes cares for the two stray cats that have decided to adopt him and his wife. During the pandemic he had a starring role in a WebMD video playing a man with intracranial bleeding who doesn't want to go to the hospital.
