New players welcome! Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG is an OSR fantasy RPG in the spirit of Original and 1st editions of Dungeons & Dragons. The emphasis is on exploration for gold and glory and combat is fast and deadly. Character creation is 100% random and is fully accomplished though the use of a 0 level character funnel (affectionately referred to as the Meat Grinder in some circles). Each player starts with four characters and those who survive to first level have the chance to eventually become heroes. We will begin with the 0 level adventure:
The Carnival appeared overnight near the village and everyone had a wonderful day playing the games and riding the rides. But when night falls all of the children disappear and the Carnival has changed in terrifying ways. Join us as we attempt to discover the secrets of the Black Jester and survive The Carnival of the Damned!
